Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actor and singer. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier - a nurse - and Tom Bell - a television director. She's an American actress and singer. Kristen is of Polish heritage (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen found her talent in entertainment from a young age. Her audition was in 1992 and got an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent prior to her turning 13, and she was subsequently cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. Also, she began private acting classes at that time. Bell played a small part that was not credited to her on the film Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was part of the drama and musical groups of Shrine Catholic High School. She won the starring role as Dorothy in the school's play The Wizard of Oz. After graduating, Bell relocated into New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in which she learned about musical theatre. Bell left the school in 2001, when she landed the role of Becky to play Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang, but the sequence in which she played the role was removed. As a result, there is only a credit sequence. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell appeared in The Crucible, a Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
